How lovely is this?? Sashiko embroidery is a Japanese method of reinforcing or patching textiles. It's traditionally white cotton thread on indigo dyed textiles, today the technique is commonly used on denim. Sashiko is also a dyeing technique where the thread is removed after dying (typically using indigo) leaving a delicate and intricate pattern.
I'm so pumped about my current embroidery/embellishment project that this week you get TWO boards instead of just on! How exciting!
